Tadeusz Kościński
Tadeusz Kościński is a seasoned financial leader and public policymaker with a distinguished career spanning both the private banking sector and senior government roles. He served as Poland’s Minister of Finance from 2019 to 2022, where he oversaw macroeconomic policy, regulatory reform, and strategic financial management during a time of global volatility. As Minister, he represented Poland in key international economic institutions, including the IMF, EIB, and AIIB, and was nominated by Poland as a candidate for President of the EBRD – a testament to his international stature and leadership.
Earlier in his career, Tadeusz held senior roles in commercial banking in London and Warsaw, including at Bank Handlowy and Santander Bank Polska (formerly Bank Zachodni WBK), before transitioning into public service in 2015. Over the following years, he served as Undersecretary of State in Poland’s Ministry of Development and later in the Ministry of Finance, where he led regulatory initiatives and modernization programs. He also acted as the Prime Minister’s representative to Poland’s Financial Supervision Authority.
