Fred Lopez is the founder and President of AeroAgility Consulting Group, a firm focused on accelerating meaningful transformation in aviation, unmanned systems (UAS), and advanced air mobility (AAM) organizations. He previously served as President of UPS Flight Forward, a wholly owned UPS subsidiary operating one of the first FAA-certified drone airlines in the United States. Under Fred’s leadership, Flight Forward scaled medical and logistics drone deliveries in complex airspace environments, becoming a reference point for innovation in regulated aviation operations.
Fred’s career at UPS spanned 36 years, starting in frontline operations and evolving into senior leadership roles across engineering, business systems, program management, and digital transformation. As Director of Engineering & Technology at UPS Flight Forward, he helped launch and expand UAS operations across North Carolina and Florida, setting strategic and operational foundations for commercial drone integration at scale. His work included designing scalable technical infrastructure, navigating regulatory pathways, and leading high-performance engineering teams in both legacy and future-facing domains.
With a background in Engineering Mathematics and Computer Science, and a unique track record bridging enterprise logistics, aviation safety, and next-gen mobility, Fred brings hands-on execution insight to organizations tackling emerging infrastructure, public-private coordination, and commercial deployment of cutting-edge technologies.
